A gastrointestinal outbreak has been declared at the RVH-IOOF home in Barrie, affecting six patients and one staff member.
The 27 bed satellite unit is located at 10 Brooks Street, where all patients and staff are being monitored closely for symptoms.
Hospital officials say the patients are isolated and full PPE precautions are in place.
At this time, no visitors are permitted, however, some exceptions in particular circumstances may apply.
