Hanover Police say they have a 38-year-old Hanover man in custody after he allegedly attempted to break in to the police station.
Police Chief Chris Knoll says on Twitter, the suspect tried to enter the station through a secure ’employee only’ door Monday evening.
Knoll says, “After his unsuccessful attempt to gain entry, he cut internet lines causing disruptions to HPS communications & a neighbouring business.”
Knoll says the suspect is facing charges of Attempted Break & Enter, Mischief Under $5000 and Breach of Probation.
He adds, “Your tip for the day … It’s never a good idea to break into the cop shop.”
