A second COVID-19 related death has been reported in Huron and Perth counties in as many weeks.
Huron Perth Public Health reported a single death Thursday, raising the local death toll to 97.
This follows a fatality from the novel coronavirus reported March 25th.
There are currently three people in hospital due to the virus, and outbreaks at three facilities in Huron-Perth:
- Seaforth Manor Nursing Home (Seaforth)
- Goderich Place (Goderich)
- Spruce Lodge (Stratford)
The update comes days after Ontario’s COVID-19 Science Advisory Table announced the province has entered a sixth wave of the pandemic, prompted by a relaxing of safety protocols.
