The dates have been announced for this year’s Bowl For Kids Sake in Orillia.
The annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia and District is running May 2, 4 and 5 at Orillia Bowl and then May 6 and 7 at the Coldwater Bowling Centre.
Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a pledge-based event which, in addition to raising funds, also raises awareness about Big Brothers Big Sisters and its mentoring programs.
All monies raised are designated toward the free mentoring programs BBBSOD provides to over 270 children and youth annually.
“This year’s event feels even more special after everything our organization has gone through during the pandemic,” says executive director Miranda Chaffey. “It is a celebration of the power of human connection and positive mentorship, alongside those in the community who have helped us overcome the past two-and-a-half years.”
This year’s theme is Blast from the Past. Teams can pick their decade and come dressed to impress, putting them in the running for various prizes. Prizes will also be awarded to top fundraisers and top team fundraisers, with new incentives being announced throughout April.
