Impaired driving charges continue to rise in Huron County.
102 drivers were charged with Impaired Operation charges in 2021, according to Huron OPP.
That is a rise from the 93 drivers charged with the same offence in 2020.
“This is the third year in a row that Huron County OPP has seen an increase,” a news release from Huron OPP says.
Numbers show the highest number of impaired driving charges occurred in Bluewater, with 21 drivers charged in 2021.
The busiest month for impaired operation charges was November (15) and the month with the least was May (3).
The average number of Impaired Operation charges for the fourteen West Region Detachments was 106, according to police.
