Streams and rivers could be dangerous in parts of Huron County, ahead of the weekend.
The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority issued a water safety statement, calling for higher than normal water levels Friday in rivers and streams.
Slippery streambanks and extremely cold, fast-flowing water will combine to create hazardous conditions, although waterways are not expected to exceed their banks.
Significant flooding is not expected with flooding limited to traditional flood prone areas.
The water safety statement is in effect until Friday, March 25 at 4:00 p.m..
