Sean Chisholm scored what stood as the game-winner in the second period as the Mitchell Hawks beat the Mount Forest Patriots 3-1 in Game 1 of their Provincial Junior Hockey League Pollock Division semifinal Wednesday night at Mitchell Arena.
Chisholm’s goal broke a 1-1 tie at 14:20 of the second period.
Seth Huygen and Braden Burdett also scored for Mitchell.
Benjamin Demoe had the lone goal for Mount Forest.
Game 2 in the series is scheduled for Saturday night at 8 p.m. in Mount Forest.
