A traffic stop in Springwater has resulted in the arrest of a 43 year old man.
Police say an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Bayfield Street North early Sunday morning, when it was revealed the driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle and was found in possession of stolen property.
Police say the accused, Daniel MOORE, from Barrie has been charged with:
· Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
· Possession of property obtained by crime – Under $5000 – Criminal Code
· Operate a motor vehicle without insurance – Highway Traffic Act
· Use plate not authorized for vehicle – Highway Traffic Act
· Drive motor vehicle, fail to display two plates – Highway Traffic Act
· Driving while under suspension – Highway Traffic Act
· Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner – Highway Traffic Act
The driver had their vehicle impounded for a period of 45 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, in April, 2022.
