Saugeen Shores Police say in support of fraud prevention month, the Saugeen Shores Police Service is partnering with the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) to host a free electronic data destruction event at the Plex in Port Elgin on Wednesday March 23rd 2022 from 10am-3pm.
They say residents and businesses can bring their unwanted electronic devices to the Plex – 600 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin.
Police say devices storing sensitive data will be securely destroyed or wiped clean. Data storage devices will be destroyed on-site with the use of ERA’s shredding machine.
Owen Sound Police recently held the same event at the legion in partnership with the ERA and say it was very busy, with hundreds of vehicles coming though that day.
