Goderich Mayor John Grace
The Mayor of Goderich says some mainstays of the town that disappeared during the pandemic could be returning this summer.
Mayor John Grace says an expansion of restaurant patios will be returning for the summer of 2022.
“It’s really important that we create that vibrancy in the downtown core,” Grace tells Country 104.9 News.
“Having the restaurants do what they did the last couple years sure created that vibrancy.”
Grace also confirms talks of the Flea Market returning, after being off during the pandemic.
“Our staff are going to be very supportive to anything that happens in the downtown core.”
While he could not confirm specifics, Grace tells Country 104.9 News he expects more live events will be returning to the town this summer.
The Goderich Celtic Roots Festival and College has confirmed it will be returning to in-person entertainment for 2022.
