Simcoe County Warden George Cornell has officially proclaimed today as Transit Worker Appreciation Day.
He said the County would like to thank all of the hard-working transit operators and maintenance staff for keeping our communities moving through Penetanguishene, Midland, Barrie, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Bradford, New Tecumseth and Orillia.
The Warden says these essential routes ensure that residents are able to travel between communities to medical appointments, to obtain and retain employment, and do our part to keep the economy going during difficult times.
Warden @cornellghc has proclaimed today as #TransitWorkerAppreciationDay as transit workers have kept residents safely rolling across @simcoecounty! #ThankYou our #LINXTransit staff.
