The Town of Collingwood is calling all creative poets & photographers to submit work to be shown outdoors along the Train Trail.
The work will be displayed along the trail between the Collingwood Museum and Collins Street in celebration of National Poetry Month this April.
This year’s poetry month theme, intimacy.
Whether a shared glance between strangers, a warm hug in a moment of comfort or heads bowed in deep conversation, we are intimate when we share our innermost thoughts or feelings with another. The result is a sense of connection.
This outdoor exhibition seeks to put together a series of 18 poems and visual fragments, to convey intimacy.
The poems will be mounted on the signs and displayed side by side with photographic works.
Email no more than two works to artsandculture@collingwood.ca by Monday, March 28. Works must be original to the person submitting them.
