Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Scott Aitchison has officially announced his bid for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Aitchison made the announcement with a video on social media on Wednesday.
It featured the caption: “Let’s be bold. Let’s be ambitious and filled with hope. Our best days are still ahead — let’s work together to get the job done. Join me at https://VoteScott.ca!”
Aitchison is one of a few candidates vying for the leadership of the federal Conservatives.
Others include: Patrick Brown, Pierre Poilievre, Leslyn Lewis and Jean Charest.
The new leader of the party will be chosen on September 10th.
