Two people have been arrested following an incident at a restaurant in Midland.
The OPP received a call on Sunday morning about a couple of suspicious people at a restaurant on Simcoe County Road 93, where police say there was an altercation with restaurant staff involving a edged weapon and also an attempted theft of a cash donation bin.
Two suspects fled the scene before officers arrived, but were taken into custody a short time later on Yonge Street.
Charged in connection to this investigation is Jonathan SYLVESTER 33 years of Christian Island with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
- Robbery with Weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Also charged in connection to this investigation is Kayla LECAMP 34 years of Cedar Point, Christian Island First Nation with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
- Mischief Under $ 5,000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
