South Bruce OPP say Saturday’s winter storm kept officers busy.
They say Between about 1:30 that afternoon and 5:15 in the evening, South Bruce OPP responded to 21 calls involving collisions, vehicles in the ditch or stuck vehicles.
Non-life threatening injuries were reported at one of the scenes.
They say one of their cruisers was hit, even with it’s lights going while pulled over to attend a collision. There were no injuries reported.
Police say, an attentive driver with a properly equipped vehicle is a good start, but there are times you need to postpone non-essential travel Staying off the road during a powerful winter storm will not only keep you safer, but you will be helping to protect first responders who are dispatched to assist if you don’t make it to your destination.
