Patrick Brown has officially thrown his name into the hat for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Brown made the announcement yesterday in Brampton, where he currently serves as mayor.
Prior to his election as Brampton’s mayor, Brown was the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario from 2015 to 2018.
Brown is also a former Barrie city councillor, Barrie MP and Simcoe North MPP.
Among those also vying for the federal PC leadership are: MP Pierre Poilievre, along with former leader of the federal Progressive Conservatives and Quebec premier Jean Charest.
A new leader for the party will be chosen on September 10th.
The Conservative Party needs to win the next election and as its leader, that’s exactly what I will do. I need your help. Click here to pledge your support today! #cdnpoli #cpcldrhttps://t.co/98UeAg2GbA
