The Municipality of Kincardine is bringing back a list of events the community has missed out on the past couple of years due to the pandemic.
Market in the Park will be back on Mondays in Kincardine’s Victoria Park. A release from the municipality says the market offers shoppers an opportunity to purchase fresh local produce, artisan goods, clothing, baked goods, etc. Vendor applications are currently being accepted.

Mayor Gerry Glover says in a statement, “As we recover from COVID-19 and are permitted to do so, we’re excited to safely
bring back many beloved events in the community.”
For anyone interested in organizing an event in the municipality, Manager of Strategic Initiatives, Lorie Fioze, says, “The Municipality has always had and will continue to have the utmost respect for safety when it comes to events. The event application process was revised this January as part of a routine update for ever-evolving safety protocols. The process now captures more information from applicants, including a site map, which better informs the staff group reviewing applications. It also ensures that the Municipality is exercising caution as well as protecting the safety of those visiting special events in Kincardine.”
Fire Chief Brad Lemaich says, “For clarity purposes, for any downtown event, organizers must ensure that a 6 meter road
width be accessible for emergency vehicles.”
