If you’re in the Port Elgin area and would like to help people in Ukraine, there is a humanitarian aid for Ukraine donation drop-off.
The Port Elgin Missionary Church says it is partnering with the Ukrainian community to run the drop off Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. at the Port Elgin Missionary Church at 659 Gustavus St. (Behind the former Green Street Arena). Organizers say a sign will be posted.
They are asking for specific new, unused donations: medical supplies, 1st Aid kits, vitamins, Aspirin, Advil, Tylenol, Gravol, antacids, Life-Straw water purifiers, flashlights and headlamps with batteries, PPE, baby food and diapers.
