The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 71 new COVID-19 cases and one death.
Today’s update also includes 1 new hospitalization.
There are 23 people hospitalized with the virus currently throughout Simcoe Muskoka and 7 people in area ICUs.
To date, 85 percent of the region’s over 5 population have received a first vaccine dose, while 81 percent have received a second dose. 52 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received a third/booster dose.
