The Hepworth Shallow Lake Legion is holding its annual general meeting tonight where members will decide how to move forward after a fire completely destroyed the building in January.
It’s set to take place at the Sauble Beach Community Centre at 7:30 tonight.
Legion President Karie Cole says you can an opportunity to join the legion (Branch #586) through an online application or on paper. (Correction this story said members who join online could attend the meeting. They cannot. The process reportedly takes more time).
Membership is $60 for the year.
An early morning fire in January destroyed the entire building which also housed the Grey Bruce Music Hall of Fame. The building was built to be an auditorium and had live music there for decades.

Insurance will pay for the basic rebuild if that’s what members choose tonight to do. There is a GoFundMe page set up by Cole to raise money for other items that would not be covered by insurance. As of Thursday, March 10th it has raised $8,520 of its $50,000 goal.
