Will Cuylle scored twice including the game-winner on the power play 36 seconds into overtime, as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Attack 2-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.
Nicholas Porco scored the lone goal for Owen Sound, tying the game at 13:11 of the third period.
Windsor had the man advantage in overtime after Taos Jordan was sent off on a questionable tripping call with seven seconds left in regulation.
Cuylle staked the Spitfires to a 1-0 lead at 12:34 of the second period, burying a cross-seam pass from Wyatt Johnston.
Mathias Onuska made 18 saves in the win; Nick Chenard stopped 30 taking the loss. The Spitfires outshot the Attack 32-19 while going 1 for 4 on the power play; Owen Sound finished 0 for 4.
Owen Sound (25-23-3-2) has its six-game winning streak end in the loss, but now has points in their last seven games.
Windsor (30-14-3-3) has points in five straight and leapfrogs the Soo Greyhounds with the win to take over the third spot in the west.
Friday, the Attack are in Saginaw for the first of back-to-back games against the Spirit.
