A Wingham resident is facing eight charges, following a crash in Howick Township.
First responders were called to a rollover crash along Harriston Road east for Fordwich, and found the driver had fled from the scene on foot.
Officers reportedly followed tracks in the snow, and found the suspect hiding in a nearby bush.
Police say the accused was in possession of suspected methamphetamine, was driving a stolen vehicle, was prohibited from driving and was currently serving a probation sentence.
A 39 year old from Wingham is facing charges for:
- Break, Enter a Place with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Operation While Prohibited (Two Counts)
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
