The Grey Bruce Labour Council has affirmed Kevin Smith to serve as its president for another term.
The rest of the executive of the Grey Bruce Labour Council was also confirmed during a meeting of delegates on Feb. 28.
Dave Trumble is Bruce vice-president of the Labour Council. Chris Stephen, who ran for the NDP in the 2019 federal election, is Grey vice-president.
The executive branch of the Grey Bruce Labour Council also includes Amy Stephen (secretary), Gord Cale (treasurer) and Anna Morrison (Sgt-At-Arms).
In a release, Smith says: “Workers in our region should feel proud of the work the labour council does and certain of the commitment as the executive combines over one-hundred years of cumulative experience in helping workers, voicing the needs of workers and leading the struggle against those that would turn the pandemic into the greatest takeaway of the rights of workers in more than a generation-going back to the horrific days of the Harris Tories!”
