More than a dozen people have applied for the vacant councillor seat in Collingwood.
The Town of Collingwood is pleased to announce that there has been great interest in the community to fill the vacant Councillor seat for the remaining 8 months of this Council term, with 14 applications received.

The applicants were invited to provide an optional ‘Personal Statement of Qualifications and Interest’, that are available for viewing by clicking here.
A special meeting of Council will be held Thursday March 10, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of selecting a candidate to fill the current vacancy.
Councillor Vacancy – Application Process
The Town of Collingwood sought to fill one (1) vacant Councillor position for the remainder of the 2018 – 2022 term of office. The vacant Councillor position will be filled by appointment by way of application and as a result, no formal election or public vote will be conducted. Applications are now closed.
