The Federal government has unveiled a $4 billion program to help small consumer-facing businesses go digital.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) will help them access new customers and markets.
“This is a $4 billion investment that will accelerate the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) through grants and loans that meet their needs,” said Trudeau.
The Grants portion, for instance, could help with the costs of a new e-commerce platform. If you need more advanced technologies, you could get a grant for a digital adoption plan and/or apply for a zero percent interest loan of up to $100,000.
Applications for loans and grants are now open here
Today’s announcement will help over 70, 000 small businesses boost their digital transformations.
