Two big local companies are making donations towards humanitarian relief in Ukraine as the Russian invasion of the country continues.
On Twitter on Friday, February 25th, Markdale based Chapman’s Ice Cream said, “We #StandWithUkraine. Ukraine needs our help and support now. We are contacting The Canada-Ukraine Foundation to contribute $50,000 towards the Ukraine Humanitarian Relief fund.”
Today, Tiverton based nuclear operator Bruce Power made a statement saying it is donating $20,000 to the Red Cross for humanitarian aid in Ukraine and encouraging its employees, and other local businesses and community members to also consider supporting this effort.
