A stolen vehicle, along with some drugs and weapons have been seized by the OPP after a RIDE check in Collingwood.
The OPP says a vehicle was stopped on Monday night on Sixth Street, where an investigation led to the seizure of cocaine, a pellet gun, a switchblade and drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, police say the driver, Kendra HEWITT, 30 year old, from Collingwood, has been charged with the following offences:
· Uttering Threats
· Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent
· Operation While Impaired by Drug
· Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
· Driving While Under Suspension
The accused is scheduled to appear on April 5, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood.
As well, the passenger, Bradley ELLIOTT, 37 years old, from Wasaga Beach, has been charged with:
· Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
· Possession of Imitation Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
· Possession of a Prohibited Device
· Disobeying a Court Order – four counts
The accused is scheduled to appear on March 29, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood.
