A free ‘Family Fun Fest’ is being held at ODAS Park this weekend by the Orillia Fairgrounds Farmers’ Market.
The Fun Fest will include a petting zoo, snow creation contest with seed starter kit prize, family photo contest with market gift basket prize, fire pits for making smores, scavenger hunt with market voucher prize, outdoor activities/games, hot chocolate, and live music.
Over the past two years the OFFM has received an overwhelming level of support. The community of Orillia has heard the call to ‘shoplocal’ and as a group of local business the OFFM is putting this event together to show its gratitude
“Our market has actually managed to grow through Covid, and we are so excited to celebrate the families that support us,” says market manager, Sophia Siachos.
Family Day is the perfect day for going to a Farmer’s Market. The OFFM represents over 50 small businesses and the families behind them.
“I can’t think of anything that says ‘community’ more than families coming together for hot chocolate and games, supported by a group of wonderful local farmers, bakers, and makers,” says Siachos.
