The Town of Goderich is looking for input on short-term property rentals.
Officials will be hosting a public meeting February 22nd, and would like to hear thoughts from the public.
Short-term rentals were discussed by town council in the summer of 2021, where property owners were given until the end of September to comply with local by-laws.
Those by-laws allow Bed & Breakfast style property in residential areas, along with guest house rentals when the owners live in the main building, including room rentals.
Goderich’s by-laws do not allow AirBNB-style rentals, where owners rent a property while they are not on site.
The public meeting runs virtually on February 22nd at 4:00 p.m., and anyone interested in attending can contact apiskorski@goderich.ca or 226-963-1559.
