Eight charges have been laid, weeks after a stolen vehicle incident in Wingham.
OPP say they were alerted to a shoplifter at a gas station on Kerr Drive January 13th, where the suspect stole a nearby vehicle left running by a patron who was paying for a fuel purchase.
According to reports, the accused crashed the vehicle nearby on Augusta Street, and was arrested shortly after.
A 35 year old North Huron man has been charged with:
- Theft Under $5,000
- Assault With a Weapon
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Prohibited
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order – 3 counts
