A Quebec Liberal MP struck a different tone today when addressing the freedom convoy protests in Ottawa and government pandemic policies, questioning where Canada is heading as many other countries around the world with lower vaccination rates have already dropped most measures.
Louis-Hébert MP Joel Lightbound says while he believes it is time for the occupation of Ottawa’s downtown core to stop to allow residents to have their lives back, when it comes to the broader demonstrations he’s heard from many citizens and constituents not involved with the protests who have concerns about where we are heading collectively.
Lightbound spoke at a press conference this morning, even levying criticism at his own party for dividing Canadians.
