Southern Georgian Bay OPP has charged two people with drinking and driving-related offices.
A 40-year-old Toronto man was stopped while heading eastbound on Hwy 12 near Reeves Road in Tay Twp. on Friday and charged with impaired driving and Over 80, as well as driving with an unsealed container of liquor and liquor readily available. He has a court date scheduled for February 24th.
And a 52 year old Toronto man faces Over 80, impaired driving, failing to stop after an accident, and driving while prohibited in Canada charges after a two vehicle crash at Beck Blvd and Main Street in Penetanguishene Friday.
It happened at 2:31 pm and involved a red Cadillac and black pickup truck. Police say the Cadillac had fled the scene leaving the other vehicle and driver who was later transported to hospital. After a brief search assisted by community members, the vehicle was located in the Village Square Mall parking lot.
The accused is now scheduled to appear in court on February 17th.
