OPP has charged a suspect in a stabbing incident on Parry Sound Road with attempted murder.
Yesterday at 12:40 p.m. police received a call to a residence after two victims were stabbed.
Both were transported to the hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect, 33-year-old Nathan Smith-Nanibush of Wasauksing First Nations, had fled the residence but was eventually located.
The suspect was charged with the following offenses:
- Attempt to commit murder – two counts
- Failure to comply with release order – two counts.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to re-appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Parry Sound on Friday, February 4th for a bail hearing.
