Haliburton OPP has laid charges in response to a rollover involving a stolen vehicle on Essonville Line in Highlands East.
On Tuesday just after 8 am police found both occupants had fled the scene – the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Greater Toronto Area.
They were found later and taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say 31-year-old Natasha Perrin of Dysart et al, was arrested and charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
· Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
· Driving while under suspension
· Fail to remain
· Fail to report an accident
The accused is scheduled to appear in Minden court on April 6th
The passenger, 44-year-old Leigh Perrin of Dysart et al, was also arrested and charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Possession Break In Instruments
- Failure to comply with release order
- Possession of Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
The accused is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in Lindsay today (Feb 2nd)
