The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 239 new COVID-19 cases today and 4 deaths.
The deaths were all residents from Simcoe County. They include two women, one in her 50s and one over the age of 79, and two men, a man in his 70s and a man over the age of 79.
There are also nine new hospitalizations being reported in the region today.
To date, 86 percent of the region’s Over 5 population has received their first vaccine dose, while 81 percent has received its second. 44 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received a booster/third dose.
