The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 374 new COVID-19 cases today and six deaths.
The deaths include one Simcoe man between 65 and 79 years old not linked to any outbreak and five people from Muskoka – two women and three men, all over the age of 79 linked to outbreaks.
30 people are currently hospitalized in the region due to the virus. Three of these are new hospitalizations.
To date, 86 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received its first vaccine dose, while 80 percent has received second.
41 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received a third/booster dose.
