A not-for-profit wants to hear how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected rural Ontario.
The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health is conducting an online survey to understand the impacts of COVID-19 on mental health and substance use in Huron and Perth county workplaces.
Gateway is working with the federal and provincial governments on the survey, as well as the University of Guelph.
Associate Professor at the university, Leith Deacon, says the survey plays an important role in forming future mental health policy for the region.
“We’re trying to contribute knowledge to mental health and addiction… that can be further explained, and impact development across the region,” Deacon tells Country 104.9 News.
“People who work in agriculture, manufacturing… their experience is different than that of London, for example.”
The ten minute survey can be accessed through the Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health website.
