The legendary Betty White would have turned 100 years old today.
The award-winning actress and comedian passed away at the age of 99 on New Year’s Eve, just a few days after suffering a stroke.
Her fans have created the #BettyWhiteChallenge to honour the TV icon with animal rescue donations on what would have been her centennial birthday celebration.
White was known for her advocacy for animal causes and spent much of her time raising money for animal shelters and animal rights organizations.
People are being asked to donate $5 or more to their local animal shelter or rescue.
Betty White was an animal lover through and through. You can honour her today, January 17, by making a donation in her name. We even have some cute, Betty-inspired eCards, you can send with your donation. https://t.co/g3Pj729ktY#BettyWhiteChallenge #donate #animalsinneed pic.twitter.com/TtOh5ZjxbD
