A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, in Goderich.
According to a social media post from the AMGH, the outbreak is affecting intensive care and inpatient services on the hospital’s first floor.
Only one patient has tested positive for COVID-19, the AMGH says.
As a result, the ICU/inpatient service unit is now closed.
The AMGH reminds residents it is still safe to receive care at the hospital, which remains open for all other scheduled clinics, procedures, and emergency visits.
