The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 300 new COVID-19 cases today and four deaths.
The health unit is no longer breaking down cases by specific geographical locations.
52 of today’s cases are unvaccinated, while 179 were fully vaccinated and eight were partially vaccinated.
Today’s update also includes 122 newly resolved cases and 5 new hospitalizations. 31 people are currently hospitalized overall in the region with 7 people in the ICU.
To date, 85 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received one vaccine dose, 80 percent has received their second and 34 percent has received a third booster dose.
