The nasty weather this week has helped Huronia West OPP arrest two suspected drunk drivers.
Police say they responded to a Superior Street address on Saturday night after a vehicle collided with a hydro pole.
When they arrived, several people were trying to get it out of the ditch and the driver was arrested at the scene.
As a result, Patrick TUTTON, 20 years old, of Stayner, has been charged with:
· Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent
· Operation While Impaired – Alcohol or Drugs
· Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
A couple of hours later, while on patrol on County Road 10 in Clearview Township, police observed a vehicle lose control and spin out. As the vehicle attempted to drive away, police stopped the vehicle and the driver was also arrested as a result of an impaired driving investigation.
As a result, Charly TOSCA DOMINGUEZ, 29 years old, of London, has been charged with:
· Operation While Impaired – Alcohol & Drugs
· Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
· Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Both are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on February 8, 2022.
