Most of the squalls have come to an end, but now we have some bitter cold in the forecast to deal with.
An Extreme Cold Warning in effect with wind chill values near minus 30 this morning.
Environment Canada says this is the coldest air so far this season, but the wind chill will improve after sunrise.
Some of the health risks when the temperature gets this cold are: frostbite, hypothermia, and winter asthma.
In order to stay warm outside, dress in layers, keep moving and drink warm fluids.
The massive snow storm that moved through our area yesterday caused several crashes across the region with the OPP asking motorists to stay off the roads last night until the conditions improved.
