Three “hockey hub” Covid vaccination clinics set up in Grey Bruce will only be operational for a short window this month and Public Health says there are many appointments available to be booked.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit in partnership with Bruce Power has set up mass vaccination clinics at the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound, Port Elgin Missionary Church in Port Elgin and at 60 Industrial Park Road in Chesley.
A release from the health unit says the Grey Bruce Hockey Hubs will end on Friday, Jan. 21.
According to the latest schedule from the Grey Bruce Health Unit, the Chesley vaccination hub will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week. The Port Elgin Hub will operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The vaccine hub at the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound is scheduled to start operating on Tuesday, Jan. 11. It will have appointments available through Jan. 21.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit says walk-ins will not be accepted at any of the hub clinics to anyone younger than 60.
You can book an appointment for a shot through the province’s central vaccine booking system or by calling Ontario’s telephone booking line at 1-833-943-3900.
