With trends showing a rapid increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations, the province is temporarily moving into a modified Step Tw o of its Roadmap to Reopening plan effective Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. for at
least 21 days.
The following impacts to services are as follows:
– ALL Township Buildings and facilities will continue to be closed to the public.
This includes the following buildings:
– Township Administration Building
– All Community Centres including the Ramara Centre
– Mara Medical Centre (only impacts the Ramara Tow nship Public Library, not the Medical Clinic)
– All Fire Halls
– All Works buildings
– All in-person recreation programming at the Ramara Centre is cancelled.
– Ramara Township Public Library will be closed to the public, but the library will continue to offer curbside service and virtual programming.
– All Council and Committee meetings will continue virtually.
– All planning, infrastructure and building applications will be accepted electronically.
– All building inspections will continue as scheduled.
– Effective January 5, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. until further notice, Short-Term Rental Accommodations are not permitted to operate unless rented to a person in need.
– Locally, our By-law Enforcement Team will be responding to complaints and actively enforcing all the applicable regulations throughout the Township.
