A 40-year-old Brockton man has been charged with causing a disturbance and mischief in Bracebridge.
Bracebridge OPP responded to a disturbance call at 9 last night at a motel on Manitoba Street and tried to arrest the accused, who, they say, resisted.
Police report that during the altercation, two large dogs attacked the officers and that one was successfully stopped with the use of a Conducted Energy Weapon (a taser).
The second dog didn’t respond to multiple tazer attempts and was subsequently put down due to concerns for officer safety.
The accused is now scheduled to appear in Bracebridge court on March 8th.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or https://ontariocrimestoppers.ca/.
