
OPP Patrol Cruiser
Over a dozen charges were laid, following a vehicle theft in Wroxeter.
Huron OPP say they were called to Mill Street in the Howick Township village, for a theft of a pickup truck in progress.
According to reports, the owner of the truck chased the suspect before they abandoned the stolen vehicle and fled on foot.
Police say they were able to find the suspect, and discovered they were in possession of break-in tools, suspected methamphetamine, a stolen license plate, and a stolen driver’s license.
A 30 year old Hamilton man is facing thirteen charges:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of Break-in Tools
- Fail to Comply with Release Conditions – 4 counts
- Drive a Motor Vehicle While Prohibited – 4 counts
- Possession of Stolen Property – 2 counts
The accused remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 22nd
