It is going to be a record-breaking warm December day with temperatures expected to reach the double-digits.
But the winds are also supposed to pick up, with possible gusts from 70-90 km/hr.
As a result, a Wind Warning and Special Weather Statement has been issued for most of south-central Ontario.
According to the Weather Network, the highest gusts are expected along the shores of Lake Huron, with local power outages possible before the winds gradually ease tonight.
There will be the chance to set a new daily record today with these well above seasonal conditions.
Orillia-High of 12. (Record high was 5.7°C in 2012.)
Collingwood-High of 15. (Record high was 10.3°C in 1997.)
Muskoka-High of 13. (Record high was 3.2°C in 2006.)
The normal high for this time of year is around minus 1.
