After several weeks at the Tara Curling Club the Brokerlink Insurance Grey Bruce Major Curling League shifts venues and will have 3 games tonight at the Paisley Curling Club.
The defending champions skipped by Mike Hamer lead the league with a perfect mark of 4 & 0.
Tonight, Hamer will go against the Al Hutchinson rink, who will be playing on home turf at Paisley.
It’s notable that Hutchinson and the Absalute Automotive rink skipped by Don Bartley, both former champions, reside at the bottom of the standings after 4 weeks sitting at 1 & 3
I think it’s also notable that every rink in the 6 team loop has a victory on their ledger.
The other games tonight will pit Adam Alpaugh from Tara against the Holiday Inn Express and Suites rink skipped by Scott Davidson
Both of those rinks are 1 & 2
And the final contest on the agenda this evening will see Walkerton’s Joey Rettinger against Louis Gregg of Paisley
Both Rettinger and Gregg are 2 & 1 trying to close ground on the Hamer rink.
One other curling note to be aware of……..
Next week at this time the Port Elgin Chrysler ’22 Ontario Tankard Powered by Bruce Power will make a ticket oriented announcement.
The Tankard is February 9th-13th at The Plex in Port Elgin and it’s anticipated the announcement next week will be an attractive pre-Christmas goodie.
