Saugeen Shores police have created a snapshot of a day-long traffic initiative.
Police say on December 2nd, between 8 a.m. and 4p.m. Saugeen Shores a police issued a total of 11 tickets for the following offences:
3 – Drive – Handheld communication device
4 – Speeding
1 – Fail to Stop at Stop Sign
1 – Operate – No Insurance
1 – Fail to Surrender Ownership
Police say the penalty for driving while using your cellphone (first conviction) is a $615 fine, three demerit points and a three-day drivers licence suspension.
