A speeding vehicle on Highway 11 in Gravenhurst has resulted in impaired driving charges.
The OPP says it was conducting speed enforcement on the Highway near North Kahshe Lake Road last night, when a vehicle went by at a high rate of speed.
Officers initiated a traffic stop, and say the driver and passenger traded positions in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, 20 year-old Joahan HERNANDEZ of London, ON with the following:
- Impaired Operation by Drug CC 320.14(1)(a)
- Possession of Schedule I Substance (Cocaine) CDSA 4(1)
- Possession of Schedule I Substance (Opioid) CDSA 4(1)
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime CC 354(1)(a)
- Dangerous Operation CC 320.13(1)
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 25, 2022 to answer to his charges.
